Bob Loych graduated from Steel-Highspire High School  in 1966 and then attended Harrisburg Area Community College.  He has been employed by Mittal Steel for 41 years; Bob underwent a four year apprenticeship at the Mill which qualifies him as a master craftsman. 

A very active member of the community, Bob served on the Lower Swatara Township Planning Commission for fifteen years prior to his election as Commissioner.  In his capacity as Township Commissioner, he serves as liaison to the Public Works Department, the Dauphin County Agency on Aging, and the Olmsted Regional Recreation Board.   He is currently President of the Central Pennsylvania Association of Township Commissioners and also serves on the executive board of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Commissioners.

Bob and his wife Linda have been married for 41 years, and are the parents of Beth, Heidi and Erich.  The couple also have six grandchildren.  Bob enjoys gardening and hunting and is very active in his church.
