PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
The Public Works Department is located behind the Township Municipal Office
at 1499 Spring Garden Drive. The department consists of a Superintendent, seven
skilled laborers/operators including a mechanic and three Municipal Authority employees. The Department is responsible for
approximately 50 miles of roadway which involves snow removal, leaf collection, patching and paving, shoulder maintenance and repair, street sweeping, sign
replacement, traffic lights, line painting, storm sewers, seven recreational
facilities and baseball fields.
The Public Works Department also does maintenance repair work on its own equipment and police department vehicles. The Department also operates a dumpster detail. This permits Township residents to dispose of appliances and unwanted items on the first Saturday of every month unless it is on a holiday weekend. For further information and hours, call the Township office at 939-9377.
