UPDATE: The Township’s Contractor (JVI Group, Inc.) is scheduled to begin tree clearing activities on June 8th with installation of stormwater facilities along lakeside beginning later in the same week.
Expect traffic delays during this time as the work along Lakeside Drive and Lumber Street will require flagging. A full closure of Lakeside Drive may also be needed in the following weeks. If necessary, JVI Group will coordinate with local residents to ensure access to homes.

The Township has planned four drainage improvement projects for the 2026 project year. The work will include upgrades to existing stormwater and sanitary sewer facilities. Below is a general description of each project, along with available pdf plans of the projects.
For additional information or updated status on any of these projects, please contact the Township by phone (717-939-9377)
Lumber Street Storm Sewer
Similar to the previous project, this initiative focuses on upgrading existing stormwater facilities to prevent future system failures. It involves approximately 1,100 linear feet of pipe, 17 inlets, and 3 endwalls. Funding for this project also comes from a DCIB-G loan obtained by the Township in 2023.
Burd, Richard, and Nissley Storm Sewers
This project aims to upgrade existing stormwater facilities, enhancing their effectiveness and mitigating future system failures. It encompasses approximately 2,600 linear feet of pipe, 49 inlets, and 1 endwall. Initial funding for this project originates from a DCIB-G loan secured by the Township in 2023.
Lakeside Drive Storm Sewer
This project aims to enhance stormwater flow along Lakeside Drive, addressing historical drainage issues in the area. It includes adding 1,430 linear feet of new storm sewer pipe and constructing new inlets/outfall structure(s). Initial funding for this project was secured through a DCIB-G loan in 2023.
