We are currently seeking a motivated, dependable Public Works Mechanic and Laborer to join our team. This full-time position will perform a variety of maintenance duties that will help to keep our roads, parks, stormwater infrastructure, and public facilities safe and usable by the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain fleet vehicles
- Maintain and repair Township roads, stormwater systems, and public infrastructure.
- Perform mowing, landscaping, tree and park maintenance.
- Install and maintain traffic signs and work zone safety devices.
- Operate hand and power tools, trucks, mowers, snowplows, and other Public Works equipment.
- Assist with construction, concrete work, trenching, paving, and general maintenance projects.
- Respond to snow and ice events, including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of related work experience preferred.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license required.
- Class B CDL with Tanker endorsement required.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting up to 75 pounds and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and vehicles while working effectively as part of a team.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Additional hours may be required during emergencies or winter weather events.
