Public Works

The Public Works Department is located behind the Township Municipal Office at 1499 Spring Garden Drive. The department consists of a Director, Manager, ten skilled laborers/operators including a mechanic and two Municipal Authority employees. The Department is responsible for approximately 50 miles of roadway which involves snow removal, leaf collection, patching and paving, shoulder maintenance and repair, street sweeping, sign replacement, traffic lights, line painting, storm sewers, seven recreational facilities and baseball fields. The Public Works Department also does maintenance repair work on its own equipment and police department vehicles.

The Department also operates a dumpster detail available to residents on certain dates throughout the year. This permits Township residents to dispose of appliances and unwanted items.
